How plays are counted
Plays
The total number of plays your song or release has received on Doxa. A play is counted when the song is played for at least 60 seconds.
Release plays
The total number of plays for all songs on the release. A song belongs to one release, so its plays count toward that release only.
Good to know
- The 60 seconds have to be heard. Skipping ahead or replaying the same part doesn't add time.
- Every listen counts, including when someone plays the song again.
- Listeners who are signed in count on every song. Listeners who aren't signed in count on free songs, the ones they can hear in full; short previews of paid songs don't count.
- Songs played on the turntable on the Doxa landing page (doxamusic.xyz) don't count.
- Stats are recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
